This mat is intended to be used when gluing multiple items together to protect your work surfaces and prevent your costume, prop, and terrain pieces from bonding to your table. Certain adhesives, paints, dyes, and chemicals may alter the factory color of this mat.
Product testing for this glue-up mat was especially problematic because the tape labels we had for the different adhesives wouldn’t stick and the superglues kept pooling up and flowing off the edge of the mat (because we tested this on a drawing table).
This works amazingly well for adhesives including:
Barge Construction Adhesive – Peels right off once dry. Color can stain the mat.
SuperGlue – Rolls off like water when wet, but when left on long enough to cure, superglue damages the silicone of this mat
JB Weld Epoxy –
DAP Kwik Seal –
Construction Adhesive – Peels right off once dry.
Hot Glue (mini crafter’s hot glue gun) – Resists heat, protecting table underneath. Glue hardens with no adhesion.
Hot Glue (1/2″ industrial hot glue gun)
